Changshou (longevity) Village

Changshou (longevity) Village at Changshouling was formerly known as “Paiziling”. It is 55 kilometers from Yanqing Township and five kilometers from the center area of silicified wood. It is opposite to the Chaoyang Temple built across a river in the late Ming Dynasty or early Qing Dynasty. The village is close to the “Shujian Peak” on the right and the vault of Hongshi Bay at the back. There is a 600-year-old elm tree in the village that witnessed its development. The Luanchi Road passes by the village, making convenient transportation for the villagers.

Entering the beautiful village and roaming in the shaded streets, you may feel the unique charm of the mountainous village while picking fruit in the courtyard. On the 18th day of the fourth lunar month every year, a temple fair is held at Chaoyang Temple. Guests from Yanqing and its surrounding Huairou, Chicheng and Changping will gather together. During the fair, visitors are able to see opera and modern dances and have vegetarian food at Changshouling Folk Customs Village. Visitors may also be engaged in photography with ancient trees and appreciation of the geological view at the vault and Shujian Peak.
