Ti Yuan Dian was built on the site of the former back hall of Tai Ji Dian and Chang Chun Men in the late Qing Dynasty. To the north of this hall is the opera stage of Chang Chong Gong. On her 50^th birthday in 1884, Empress Dowager Cixi with concubines and other noble women enjoyed operas here for half a month.
