Located in the west of Changan Street, west of the Xidan Commercial Area, and south to the Financial Street, Minorities Cultural Palace Theater was included in the Ten Top Constructions at the tenth anniversary of the founding of PRC. In addition, it shares some other reputations: one of the Contemporary Masterpieces of Chinese Architecture appraised by International Architect Association in 1999, the first place in the list of Appreciated Constructions in Minorities Cultural Style appraised by the public in 1994.

Since 1998, the central government has invested a total of 160 million RMB to renew and strengthen it. It has exhibition hall, fair hall, library, hotel, theater, and amusement park, functioning for cultural events, catering, entertainment and business.
