The Chinese Militia Weapon Exhibition Center

The Chinese Militia Weapons and Equipment Exhibition Hall project began in 1991 and was completed in October 1998. The name of the museum was written by Jiang Zemin, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

The Chinese Militia Weapons and Equipment Exhibition Hall is about 100,000 square meters in size, with a construction area of more than 12,000 square meters. The display hall is divided into fourteen sections, including the Weapons Expo Center, the People's War History Hall, the Mountain Field Artillery Array, the Simulation Shooting Range, the National Defense Education Base, and the National Defense Training Center.

The exhibition hall houses ten thousand different types of cultural treasures. There are almost 5,000 pieces of firearms and artillery weapons from 23 different countries among them. Pen pistols, Japanese-made "Maru No.1" 300mm seven-year fortress howitzers, Chinese QBZ-87 small-caliber automatic rifles, handguns worth millions of dollars, and Japanese royal swords worth 20 million RMB are among the primary collections. The National Tourism Administration has designated the museum as a 3A tourism unit, as well as the National Defense Education Demonstration Base and the Beijing Science Education Base.
