At that time, the new west gate area will become the nearest gate area from Taoranting subway station to facilitate tourists to enter and leave the park.

Considering that the original West gate is in the Hutong and it is inconvenient for tourists to find it, the park decided to open a new gate area near the South Street to facilitate the residents and tourists to enter and leave the park.

It is reported that the new gate area is planned to be put into use at the end of October. Construction will begin in September. In addition to expanding the square area inside and outside the gate area, barrier free facilities such as ramps will be installed to meet the overall specifications of the park. By then, the straight-line distance between the new gate area and the subway station will be only more than 600 meters.
