Autumn is always the best season for appreciating whirling leaves in Beijing. If you are looking for fascinating yellow-colored leaves, you may try Yongdingmen, the main gate of Beijing's outer city wall in the Ming and Qing dynasties.

This gate was built in 1553, the 32th year of the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, implied the meaning of "prolonged political stability". At present, the Yongdingmen Tower has recreated the complete Central Axis landscape in the ancient city of Beijing. Besides, the open space in front of the city tower is planted and a large area of green space is built. After desilting treatment, the moat water is clear and rippling; the new Yongdingmen Tower and the moat add radiance and beauty to each other, and they have become new view spots of Beijing.
