The National Art Museum of China is looking back at the art career of Chinese artist Chen Jun with a new painting exhibition. An innovative painter, Chen often incorporates China's traditional landscape paintings with Western painting techniques.

According to artist Fang Zengxian, a close friend of Chen, the exhibition shows the breakthroughs in traditional painting that the artist has made over the years as well as his love for his hometown in East China's Zhejiang Province.

Prior to the exhibition, Chen's works have toured to a number of countries including France, Japan, Italy and Spain.

The exhibition, featuring a total of 120 of Chen's works, is set to run until Sunday.
