"The Visit" will return to the stage at the National Center for the Performing Arts from April 18 to 21.
The tragicomic play was written by Swiss dramatist Friedrich Durrenmatt in 1956 and brought to the stage by Beijing People's Art Theater in 1982.
It tells of billionaire Lady Claire's revenge, when she returns to her hometown offering money to citizens for killing her former lover Anton.
Chen Xiaoyi and Pu Cunxin will lead a team of actors to interpret the unique funny scenarios and tragic characters of the play.
"Although Durrenmatt said he was not an absurdist, his works are weird indeed. His plays reflect the realities of society, which are thought-provoking and shocking," said director Lan Tianye.
