Top Waterfall Scenery in Beijing Outskirts

2018-11-20

The No. 1 Waterfall in Beijing is 3km north of the Black Dragon Pool. As its name indicates, it drops at the height of 62.5m with largest stream flow in suburb Beijing. As the temperature gradually declines in winter, the water and surrounding water-covered cliffs would freeze over, forming the largest and highest ice fall in Beijing. From a distance, it looks like a jade dragon drooping its head to drink water in the ice pool, while in a close look, it resembles the impressive Milky Way floating on the cliff.

In addition to waterfalls and springs, the six ponds connecting one after another like a string of pearls is amazing. They vary in size and depth, as gorgeous as an art of the God. Once winter arrives, the water here would freeze into ice, then ice falls and ice ponds, forming a distinct and stunning picture.
