This is a national road where can appreciate the most beautiful autumn landscapes in north China. Some people call it "the most beautiful national road in north China". There are many beautiful autumn scenery you can't miss from Huairou District in Beijing to Fengning District in Hebei.

Hongluo Temple

Standing in thousands of acres of lush ancient pine forest of Hongluo Mountain, Hongluo Temple became a beautiful picture scroll with green waves and ancient scenic. The red spiral temple in autumn becomes more and more beautiful, and the red leaves from the mountains come into your eyes, bringing you beautiful scenery of golden autumn!

Yanqi Lake

Yanqi Lake has been the venue for many important summits, which bringing Yanqi Lake a worldwide reputation.

The vegetation coverage in the whole tourist area is 90%. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, it forms a natural barrier. For those who have lived in the city for a long time, it is pleasant to come here and breathe the fresh air.

Hefangkou

It will pass the river mouth wall if you continue to go to the north along G111 national road and appreciate the rectangular clip flat building. According to historical records, this section of the Great Wall, also known as the Jiugukou Great Wall, which was built on the northern of Qi Great Wall in the Ming dynasty and noticed by military officers since ancient times. There is an ancient village of 600 years under the Great Wall of the Hefangkou.

Qinglong Gorge

Not far from the river mouth is the famous Qinglong Gorge. It looks like a green dragon in the quiet mountains. If you have lots of energy, you can choose to climb the top of the large dam, overlooking the canyon and a small view of the mountains.

Yougushentan (Secluded Valley and Amazing Lake)

Continue to drive north, Yougushentan is located on the side of the national road. There is green ridge, green mountains, strange peaks, rocks, cliffs, secluded stream and clear lake. It is very suitable for mountain climbing in early autumn.

The rainbow trout here suits your taste mostly instead of the scenery if you're a foodie. You can buy a rainbow trout from a nearby farmhouse and cook by yourself.

Yunmeng Mountain

Yunmeng Mountain is only 3km from Yougushentan. Different from the Beijing suburbs, it is more suitable for outdoor cross-country with lots of strange stones and small waterfall.

There are full of red and yellow leaves on the mountain when it comes to autumn. The landscape of autumn is very beautiful. If you are strong enough, you might want to pack on your back and come here for a cross-country trip to enjoy the autumn scenery of the mountains.

Chang Shao Ying

On the way to the Labagou, you will pass by the Chang Shao Ying from the north of G111. This is a Manchu township. Streets, small courtyard and the names of the residents feature Manchu characteristics. You might want to buy the famous ginseng here while you walk across here.

Labagou Forest Park

The primeval forest in the Labagoumen is one the best forests in Beijing. It is known as the back garden of the capital and is also known as the "natural big oxygen bar". The temperature is about 10 degrees lower than downtown, about a week earlier than downtown fall. There are hundreds of scenic spots, the most beautiful of which refers to the wild virgin forest.

There is also a legendary yishan pines, longevity springs, love springs, pearl springs. The most memorable landscape is the sea of clouds, glaciers and pines everywhere with different shapes.

Bashang Grassland of Fengning

There is a similar way to stand on the top of the mountain and see the continuous autumn, or stand in the grassland and see the endless autumn. Saihanba Grassland

Saihanba has been a natural garden with abundant water and grass, dense forest and various animals since ancient times. In the silence of the golden autumn, the grass waves died down, and cattle and sheep came from the distant prairie.

The beauty here is not a single color but multiple colors including mottled red, brown and yellow with the reflection of the beautiful clear lake interwoven together.
