While the small hostel just has over 30 beds, some of which are bunk bed, it is still a unique one because it is actually a renovated Beijing courtyard at the deep end of a Hutong, retaining the entire layout and features of the courtyard in the Ming and Qing Dynasties hundreds of years ago. Living with the neighbors who spend almost their whole life here in this peaceful environment, you can personally experience the authentic Beijing Hutong livelihood.
There are many locations in the Hostel for travelers to make friends, whilst it also serves information exchange boards, a self-service laundry room, a public bathroom and Wi-Fi. Sitting at one of the two wooden long tables in the courtyard where flowers and trees are planted, watching the dog and cat playing with each other and golden fish swilling freely in the fishbowl, you can spend a whole afternoon with new friends here while enjoying tea, coffee and wine.
What is especially worth mentioning is the night here. In the open-air courtyard, under the romantic starry sky, the backpackers from all around the world sit around together, talk and get to know about each other while enjoying the sky and background music, which is definitely a great platform for learning foreign languages, knowing different cultures and folk customs.
