Jinshanling Great Wall is the best-preserved section of the Ming Great Wall. It is recognized by experts as the essence of the Ming Great Wall. It is located in Luanping County, Chengde, about 10.5 kilometers long. It was built by Qi Jiguang, a patriotic general of the Ming Dynasty. With elegant and well preserved buildings, the place has always been known as the "most outstanding part of the Great Wall", as well as the "photographer's paradise". The apricot flowers are popular in spring, with mountain peach, pear, and winter jasmine flowers blooming everywhere. The boundless towering Great Wall perching on the rolling mountains, with the fragrant smell of flowers spreading across the fields, adds infinite tenderness to the impregnable pass.
