Located in south of the Olympic Green, Beijing National Stadium (Bird's Nest) serves as the main venue for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. With the total area of 21 hectares and construction area of 258,000m2, this stadium is designed with about 91,000 seats, including temporary ones of 11,000 or so.
