A wine museum named Hongxing Yuanshenghao is located in the CBD of Qianmen Street in Beijing where Beijing Erguotou (a strong, clear distilled liquor) is derived. Three winemakers in Yuanshenghao, who were Zhao Cunli, Zhao Cunren and Zhao Cunyi, reformed the brewing technique and created Erguotou. The first bottle of Erguotou was produced here.
Erguotou is preserved from generation to generation due to its high quality. Among distilleries which make good or common Erguotou, Yuanshenghao is the best. The mellow Erguotou is produced here with an ancient secret recipe. Ai Jinzhong, the deputy manager of Beijing Red Star Co., Ltd., learnt the brewing technique of Erguotou from Mr. Gao Jingyan, the 8th generation inheritor, innovated and developed the technique, brought Erguotou to the world, and preserved this precious historical heritage with a history of over 800 years.
