Badachu Park Spring Festival Temple Fair is the only temple fair in the capital which holds a fair in a temple. The Spring Festival Dharma Assembly, 13-performance-highlighted Huahui Festival, performances and other activities will be staged in a festive atmosphere for tourists. By then, a series of special cultural activities will be held to vividly recreate the original style of the Old Beijing-style temple fair a hundred years ago. It is estimated that the temple fair will receive 150,000 visitors.

Features: The Bell and Drum Tower will open for the first time; a painting titled by “Badachu Spring Festival Blessing Temple Fair" and the other titled by “Badachu Temple Fair Tour" will make their debut.

Activity: The Bell and Drum Towers of Xiangjie Temple will be opened to the public for the first time after being closed for more than 60 years. The bell and drum, which has been quiet for nearly a century, will ring again during the Spring Festival. Eight temples will ring the bells for 108 times every day, so that tourists can experience the ethereal and harmonious nature in the bells.

The intangible cultural heritage 13-performance-hilighted Huahui will also come together to Xishan, showing the spectacle of praying in temples and visiting fairs in the time of Old Beijing.

On the morning of the first day of Chinese New Year, the door of luck will be opened to welcome the general public, and calligraphy works such as "Fu" and "Shou” in Chinese characters will be given to visitors for free.

Food & Beverage: The distinctive peddling songs at old Beijing with a history of hundreds of years will also be performed to reinforce festive atmosphere. Cooked tripe of sheep or swine, sausage, fried sugar cake and other old Beijing-style snacks will be sold. “Royal cuisine" Badachu pickles made by time-honored cooking method, featuring unique mouth feel, have enjoyed the favor of diners with its moderately sweet and saline taste.

Highlights: The 10-meter-long painting of "Badachu Spring Festival Blessing Temple Fair" will be showcased to tourists during the temple fair. The Huahui entertainers and calligraphers will also co-create the painting of "Badachu Temple Fair Tour".
