Nanshan Ski Village
Beijing Nanshan Ski Village lies in the due south of Miyun County, 62 km from Siyuan Bridge, Beijing. It occupies a total area of more than 2 700 000m².
This skiing resort is the largest of its kind in North China with the most advanced facilities. At present this skiing resort boasts of 12 trails for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers. There are many styles of snowboarding runs as well as China's first mogul advanced trail and a children's snowmobile route.
It is equipped with a hi-tech snowmaking system, 12 snowmaking machines and 2 snow groomers introduced from Austria. There are a quadruple chair lift, a double chair lift, 11 beginners' drag lifts, and a toboggan run (1,318 meters-long from Germany). There are also snow amusements such as the Cable Hang-glider and snow sledges from Shirton Villas are the most romantic residence in the ski resort, located nearby the Rimbaud Pond.
Shijinglong Ski Resort
Located near Longqingxia Scenic Spot and Guanting Reservoir, Shijinglong Ski Area was the first in the vicinity opened to skiers in 1999.
An ideal site for both novice and veteran skiers to test their skills navigating the giant alpine slalom, Shijinglong also invites skiers to participate in its various competitions every winter.
Covering an area of 35 hectares, the resort is equipped with imported snow-making machines to ensure sufficient amounts of powder each day. The ski lifts can send 600 people to the top of the slopes every hour.
Snowboarding, sleigh rides, curling, ice climbing, and ice-skating are also available.
Yunfoshan Ski Resort
Yunfoshan skiing resort is located in County Weng a Chuang town, belonging to Yun fo shan. It is located in the biggest headwaters protection area in the area. There is a skiing spot covering the area of 450,000 square meters. There are ski runs of various lengths and also cross-country facilities.
Badaling Ski Resort
Badaling Ski Resort has a special 3,000 square meter ski course for coaching. Basic instruction is free, unlike other resorts. Badaling also provides coaching services for skiers of different levels. Foreign coaches charge a little more than Chinese coaches.
