As a project funded by China National Arts Fund in 2017, the exhibition aims to further inherit and carry forward the excellent culture of the nation, actively promote the development and exchange of higher art education in China, practically improve the quality of fine arts talent training, and build a platform for college students throughout the country to display their artistic talent.

The 299 pieces of works on display are selected from nearly 7,000 works from all over the country by experts after rigorous evaluation. They are separated into 95 traditional Chinese paintings, 102 oil paintings, 51 woodcut prints and 51 watercolor paintings. The painters are all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.
