The Opening Ceremony of the 13th Beijing International Sport Film Week kicked off at Gehua New Century Hotel in Beijing on August 10.

With the theme of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, 15 sports films at home and abroad will be shown during the festival. These films were carefully selected from more than 40 sports films, featuring themes of Snow and Ice, the Belt and Road Initiative, national football film exhibition and extreme sports.

Media of sports and film have been invited to present prizes of sports film, sports documentaries and winter sports films for the first time. Former NBA star, Stephon Marbury, also the leading actor of his biographical movie “I am Marbury” attended the festival. He hoped the film could encourage people who love basketball to like him.

These films will also be shown on villages, communities and colleges of the nation, as well as network media to share culture and art of sports with people.
