Beijing's sub-center transport hub to be built before end of the year

Beijing will accelerate the construction of its sub-center in the second half of this year. It will strive to begin the construction of an integrated transportation hub as well as ensure some municipal offices move to the sub-center.

Beijing will complete the detailed planning of the sub-center and the spatial planning of the nine towns surrounding the sub-center this year, as well as strengthen the overall planning of the Tongzhou District and the three counties of northern Langfang. Meanwhile, the Chinese capital will also accelerate the planning of the canal business district, the sub-center transportation hub (including rail transit and intercity railways) and the urban green space. Regarding the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the official revealed that the roof of the new airport terminal will be finished by the end of the year, the three dead-end national highways will be basically eliminated, the earthwork construction of the Winter Olympic National Speed Skating Oval will be completed, the two venues in Yanqing District will begin construction, and the Olympic Village will be ready for construction.

Additionally, Beijing will proactively support the construction of the Xiongan New Area and sign an agreement with Hebei Province that deepens the cooperation between the two and support the Xiongan New Area.
